Ceres - The Original Virgin Goddess

Ceres – The Original Virgin Goddess

It’s springtime. Warm days cool nights. Balmy indeed. The mulberry tree outside my back door has new leaves. For the last four days or so I have been going through a collection of inherited ambient music CD’s to figure out what’s worth keeping and what’s not. It has been a very weird experience. No matter what mood I’m in the soundtrack is blissful slow and hypnotic. My craving for the mangled voice of Tom Waits is growing exponentially with each new CD. When my phone rings and it’s Kashmir by Led Zeppelin calling I  pretty much have an epiphany. Almost the kind of epiphany I had last weekend when the Fremantle Dockers played out of their skins and put Hawthorn’s season to rest. There’s more to come on that front methinks.

On the astrology front it’s the time of the month when the www.osho.com newsletter comes out – which means a new Osho Horoscope. For those of you out there in the world at large who aren’t already aware of it, it is this little black duck that writes the Horoscope at Osho.com. Follow this rather ginormous link and give it a read. http://www.osho.com/main.cfm?Area=Magazine&Sub1Menu=LifeStyle&Sub2Menu=Horoscope&Language=English&CFID=2338816&CFTOKEN=88520040It’s my favourite one of all to write. I’m talking to my tribe there. There’s a beautifully chosen little Osho quote after each sign that puts the icing on the cake.

Life has played a wonderful trick. Having lost the City News Astrology Column here in Brisbane because of a newspaper downgrade that is being sold as an upgrade, my agent (Auspac Media) has landed me almost immediately a return to The Westender. So, if you are in this part of the world and need a star fix, head over to West End and pick up a copy. It comes out fortnightly. I’m pretty sure my first column will be in there around the 15th of September.

For the rest I am delighted to be tweeting regularly. @SudhirAstrology is where all the action is. Daily Astro Weather Reports – my new writing pleasure. They turn up on facebook as well. Hunt down Sudhir Daily Astro for your social networking pleasure.

I am booked to go to the Tropical Writers Festival in Cairns on the weekend of the 16th and 17th of October. There’ll be a whole bunch of Boolarong Press writers up there signing books. Google ‘Tropical Writers Festival’ for more info. My girlfriend who is also the editor of my book, Upasana Papadopoulos will be performing there at 12pm on 17th as well. Catch her amazing voice if you can. Tropical holidays are the best!

I am busy doing writing exercises to hone my craft and perhaps ignite the spark of a next literary creation. The real skill is observation. Writing it down seems to follow naturally. Look. See. Note. Awareness. Catch the tail of the moments magic with a simple lyric. Meditation – the key note yet again.

Enjoy!

I been wantin’ one for za blog, how do I get me one? Is it part of your template or a widget or what, pray tell.

    • Hey there again – I set this blog up in a whirr after having done a blog setting up course through the Queensalnd Writers Centre – and to be quite honest don’t recall much of how I did anything. I seem to remember that setting up the RSS feeds was a wee bit complicated – which pretty much means I’m not going to be much help to you here. Thanks for commenting. It makes writing so much more juicy with interaction brewing. Have fun – Sudhir

      • No worries. After tireless research, apparently it’s simply a matter of some templates have that RSS text block and some don’t. And I just happened to have picked one that doesn’t. 😦

  3. Thanks for the heads up about osho.com. I didn’t know you were writing it.

Did you know you can shorten long links by going to bit.ly? If you set up an account, you can track how many people click on the links you shorten. Good stuff.

  4. The artical is wonderful and very information.I really enjoyed reading this.and one or two sentences more to this as per the artical.
